Steve Kittel
My name is Steve Kittel. With over 25 years of experience in retailing, I hope to share some of my knowledge and experience with readers of The Observant Customer. Along with my many years as a salesperson and manager, I also worked in cashiering, customer service, merchandising and shipping/receiving.
The last 15 years, I worked for several major retailers in training and development. The programs I designed, developed and implemented include sales, product knowledge, operations and managerial training. Currently, I am self-employed working on a number of retail related projects and consulting.
Does this make me an expert? I am very knowledgable about retail customer service. But rather than call myself an “expert”, I prefer to think of myself as a “student.” There is always more to learn and experience with the evolving world of retailing.
It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.
I hope you will find The Observant Customer worth your time. And remember you never know who is watching.
